WIN: The selected runner must be declared FIRST after correct weight.
PLACE: In Australia, the runner must be declared FIRST, SECOND or THIRD to collect the PLACE dividend. In a field of less than eight horses, PLACE is only available on the FIRST and SECOND runners. With less than four runners, no place is available. For US horse racing, Place is available on the FIRST or SECOND runners only.

ROVING BANKER (QUINELLA, EXACTA, DUET, TRIFECTA): The selected banker(s) must finish in the placings with any combination of the other selections.
RUNNING DOUBLE: One or more selected runners to finish FIRST in two consecutive races. Cost Calculator: Multiply the number of selected runners in each leg. e.g.: 3 X 3 = 9 combinations: cost is $9 per $1 invested.
DAILY DOUBLE: One or more selected runners to finish FIRST in two non consecutive races nominated by the TAB. Calculate cost as for Running Double.
QUADDIE / QUADRELLA: Selected runners must finish FIRST in four consecutive nominated races. Cost Calculator: Multiply the number of selected runners in each leg. e.g.: 3 X 3 X 3 X 3 = 81 combinations: $81.00 or $40.50 for a 50c investment.
FIRST FOUR/ PICK 4: Runners must finish FIRST, SECOND, THIRD and FOURTH. May be taken as standout combinations, roving banker, multiples or boxed (see TRIFECTA).

There are many combinations of MULTIPLE FIRST FOUR bets – we recommend using the free TAB ONLINE CALCULATOR, but here are just a few examples ($1 unit), all of which include the same 1st selections for 2nd, 3rd and 4th.

FLEXI-BET (QUADDIE, TRIFECTA, FIRST FOUR): Allows you to invest a reduced percentage on each combination. e.g. a box trifecta with six runners costs $120 for a $1 investment to return 100% of the final dividend. If you invested $30 IN TOTAL on your box six trifecta as a flexi-bet, the return would be 25% of the final dividend. Any percentage of dividends not won are jackpotted to the following race.
ALL UP/PARLAY: Win, Place, Eachway or Quinella bets may be placed on any two or more races of your choosing. Any winning dividends will be carried across to your next nominated race. With ALL UP, every selected race must produce a winning dividend in order to collect. With PARLAY, you can decide how many of your selected bets must win in order to collect. eg: Formula 2 bet on 4 selected races means two of your four selected bets must be successful.
